Other times, your feeling confused and lost and you don’t have a clue where you’re going, if you can still keep going, or how you got there in the first place.
Being an entrepreneur is one heck of a crazy ride!
But give yourself a pat on the back for taking that major leap from daydreaming into making things happen.
Ironic as it may sound, confusion leads to clarity, and it’s all about hard work and keeping the faith to break on through to the other side.
So if you’re feeling confused right now, you’re feeling kind of overwhelmed with uncertainty and fear…
I’m here to tell you that whether you’re a noob or a seasoned entrepreneur, getting confused and feeling yourself facing two diverging roads all the time is ABSOLUTELY normal.

Feeling Lost and Confused? Been there, done that and I still experience confusion from time to time.
Just like the battle between willpower and resistance and embodying “stick-to-it-ive-ness”, overcoming confusion is a continual challenge in an entrepreneurs life.
We all get confused all the time!
I’m confused, my wife’s confused, even Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos get confused…
You will see this trend when you read any of the top internet entrepreneur books…
All successful entrepreneurs go down a road full of confusion.
And they keep going there because it’s all part of the game. Yep, you heard me right, confusion IS part of the game.
It’s a continual entrepreneurs challenge.
But one thing’s certain despite all the confusion, and that’s the desire and the strong belief that we’ll accomplish our goals no matter what.
See, if you want this year, this stage of your life, to be your breakthrough year, then you have to get out of that rut. The way out of feeling lost and confused is something you’ve been doing your whole life.
Ready to Break Through The Confusion? - Just Start
To break through confusion, you’ve got to get off the couch, do the work, and push past those entrepreneur challenges.
You have to get out of your comfort zone and get MORE confused to end confusion.
A new confused…
From what should I do, to, you are taking action and you don’t have all of the answers figured out yet.
You have to just start.
You have to take action, shake things up, change some stuff in your life!
Staying in the same spot and thinking your way out of it won’t work. Get moving forward.
Keep it simple because there are only three ways to grow your business, so be targeted with the actions you take.
Taking action is the only cure when you feel confusion.
Be A 1980’s Toy Car…
When I was a kid, I had this toy car that would go forward until it hit a wall, back up a few inches, turn it’s wheels to the left and go forward again.
So what happens is the car has no choice but to bump into something.
It happens everytime - it goes forward, hits a wall, backs up, turns a little to left, then moves forward… And the cycle continues until it finds its way out the door.
You have that initial momentum in your business, and you just keep going and going, feeling unstoppable.
But then, you hit a wall, a roadblock, an obstruction, a major challenge that screws up your plan and gets you super frustrated like, “Man, I don’t know where the heck I should go now or if I should still keep going”...
At that point in your life you’re at a crossroad.
I’m telling you, this isn’t the time to pull the plug, jump ship, and throw everything away.
Keep the same remote control car, don’t buy a new one!
Overcome confusion by backing up a bit, try a different route as you make a little turn, then go forward again… Even if you have to keep doing this back-turn-forward route throughout your entrepreneurial journey.
It’s how you get to where you want to go. It’s the only way to accomplish your goals.
By backing up, you rest your mind a little, relax, go back to the drawing board, and draft a new plan before you make a small turn.
But don’t ever toss in the towel and say screw it I’m done.
You have a dream!
Being confused only gets you to become more creative and more equipped to move forward.
It’s a normal feeling we all get, and it can be the catalyst to achieve success once you face it with courage and learn from it.
Commit to One Thing to Overcome Confusion
The entrepreneurial world is so vast.
There are hundreds of business models to choose from, niche ideas to try and stick with, brands to create…
Additionally there are Sales funnels, creating content, SEO, Facebook Advertising, and hundreds of other ways to create a successful business.
Don’t blame yourself if you’re feeling confused and uncertain about which one to pick because the options are totally more than your brain can handle!
But my advice to you if you’re ready to overcome confusion is to just choose one thing and commit to it!
Before my wife and I started this business that we’re still operating today, I had my hands on dozens of things.
I was doing a bunch of business models - affiliate marketing, content marketing, both of those in the “get rich” space. Then I got my feet wet into network marketing and joined several networking marketing companies.
I entered the online business world and built an e-commerce store in Dreamweaver MANUALLY, and what a horrible, painful process it was. (Freaking grateful for WordPress, LOL)
I built pokerchippalace.com, and I was selling poker chips and poker chip sets and poker tables… Was riding the wave of that poker craze back in 2006 or 2007.
A broke opportunity seeker.
It was super overwhelming, chasing opportunity after opportunity, and I did not learn this until later…
You have to commit and do the work in one thing at a time.
I’m sure you understand the feeling, entering that zone where you feel so confused while dealing with disappointments, frustrations, and overwhelming options around you…
This is why I strongly advise that when you get to that point of feeling confused and lost but still muster the courage to get going again, you should challenge yourself to do this amazing thing I do when I’m ready to shift gears -
How to Overcome Confusion - Take on a 90-Day Challenge
You’ll never know if something fits you, grows your business, or is the leaf that has been waiting to be turned over until you try it.
And when you do try it, you have to stay with it for a while to ingrain a habit or to truly know if it is not a match for you life or your business.
This is what a 90-day challenge is all about, and it’s what can help you when you’re flocked with confusing thoughts in your head. It’s the change you need to overcome confusion.
Commit to the work for 90 days straight.
Commit to creating content for your business, creating and marketing a membership funnel, commit to door to dooring local businesses, building a sales funnel, or whatever is the next forward motion for your business.
Action, observe, respond and adapt. Rinse and repeat.
And it’s not just the things people say that can give you clarity about knowing whether you’re on the right track or not.
Your biomechanical feedback will also start talking. You’ll feel it in your heart when it is right.
That’s where the magic happens.
But not everyone gets to this point.
Why?
Because when the tides get crazy, confusion sets in and they just jump ship to the next shiny object.
They get a new toy car until it hits a wall too.
Confusion Will Happen Every Day, But It’s Okay
Choose one action to take right now and commit to it.
Get momentum on your side, see what happens, adapt your approach to the lay of the land.
Keep doing these things, and you’ll find yourself face to face with success because you never gave up no matter how much confusion you faced.
Get better traction and continue to make necessary adjustments as you move your way forward away from that place of confusion.
Don’t be the guy who just stays in a confused analysis-paralysis mode and just waits things out, daydreaming how things will fit together and never taking the new step.
Forget the fear and confusion.
Throw the spaghetti up against the wall and see what sticks!
If it sticks, then it’s for you. Then you keep doing what you’re doing because it feels good to you, it’s fun, it helps your avatar, and it works.
It’s the people who use brute force and push through and take action that get ahead in their game.
Will the confusion ever end?
No, it won’t. Because everything changes and your always learning, growing, and refining yourself and your business.
You only make forward progress when you are out of your comfort zone, when you feel confusion.
The being frozen by confusion changes to, how do I deal with this team member, why is this Facebook ad not working, why is my computer freezing when I, why are my YouTube views low this month, How DO I hire a virtual assistant, why are people cancelling their membership.
How do I overcome confusion about…
Because when that happens my friend, you are on the path to business success.
