3 Best "Side Jobs" For Entrepreneurs

If you've been drinking too much of the fake guru's Kool-Aid, the idea of "Jobs for Entrepreneurs" sounds like an oxymoron...

It may not compute...

But for Melanie and I, it took holding down jobs for many years to support our entrepreneurial venture...

We had to pay for rent, food, car insurance, credit card bills, student loan payments, etc...

Plus there were expenses like hosting, email providers, keyword tools, etc...

The fake gurus make it sound like you are 1 funnel away and it's easy to build in an afternoon...

The truth is that we were 1 entire business away and it took 4 years to build...

If you go 'all in' on your business too early, you'll run out of cashflow for LIFE before your business can stand on it's own two feet.

Tried this a few times, and it ALWAYS failed miserably...

This is why I had to move back in with my parents at 30 with my tail between my legs.

But the time we got it right...

The business we are still growing to this day (9 years later)

That has now generated millions of dollars in revenue...

It took 4 years of nights, weekends and 40+ hour weeks of brutally confusing effort.

And these 40+ hours were on top of the 40 hours we put in at our full time jobs so we could support the business in growing.

Here's the key, tho...

The jobs we chose were VERY specifically selected for a few key reasons...

And these jobs actually helped us both grow to be more valuable and to gain powerful insights that helped our side business grow faster.

Which is why I made this new video for you today:

It reveals the 3 types of 'real jobs' that are the absolute best for entrepreneurs.

If you are totally strapped for time, they are...

#1 - Sales Jobs.

Sales skills are SO IMPORTANT for entrepreneurs...

If you are running an agency, you need to be able to land clients!

If you are selling products or services online you need to be able to write sales copy that compels your audience to action.

How do you learn the skill of sales?  Well, get a job as a salesperson with an organization that has a paid training process and a track-record for success and you are well on your way!

#2 - An 'Easy Job'

This is the "I can't think about two important projects at once" approach...

Getting a job that allows you to leave the office and leave all of the 'day job' bullshit at the office is a great way to free up your mental bandwidth for your side hustle!

For me, customer support was the 'easy job' that I defaulted to...

For Melanie, working retail was the 'easy job' for her.

#3 - Small Business w/audience or skill development

As entrepreneurs we must wear many hats...  So finding a job with a local entrepreneur can get you many types of experiences while earning the income you need.

Now this can work for you in 2 ways.

First is the ability to build the technical skills, like content marketing, social media marketing, etc.

Second is the ability to build the audience skills, like having access to the target market you seek to serve through your side hustle.

For me, I was able to work my way into helping out with SEO and growing an affiliate program for a small business.

Melanie, through her retail job, found a position with a shop that had her exact same target market that her website serviced.

This makes it so every hour spent at the 'real job' that pays the bills is still building your education, skills and experience that will add even more value to your side hustle!

These are the 3 best jobs for entrepreneurs

Jobs that will not only help you pay the bills but will offer you an advantage with your start-up, too!

Enjoy
