Many people think that marketing 'physical products' are somehow different than digital products and memberships.

As if the only option is paid ads...

It's like they think content doesn't work for selling physical products.

But I want to share a quick story with you.

Yesterday, my wife and I hopped in the car for a little road trip to handle some business in Tucson...

The biggest gem and mineral show in the world is starting and we are looking for physical products (or vendors) we may be able to share with her audience.

On the drive we popped on a Joe Rogan podcast... Specifically episode 1035 with Paul Stamets

The content brought out a ton of Paul's deep knowledge around the benefits of mushrooms along with a bunch of stories...

Now, we eat a bunch of mushrooms already... 

Living in Asia as a vegetarian for most of a year opened my eyes to the wide variety of amazing mushrooms, big time!

And I've been buying mushroom supplements, too, based on a Tim Ferris recommendation...

But on this episode we listened to yesterday, Paul's expertise shined through in a powerful way...

And he shared a TON of the science I had never heard before.

Mid-way through I learned he owns "Host Defense" a company who's supplements I had bought before...

But I was not 'branded' to them... I had bought their cheaper competitors a few times...

That is, until yesterday.

You see, hearing his take on the growing process, sourcing and just realizing his profound expertise...

Learning how this was his lifelong passion... His mission.

Not some 'niche he chose to make money' this was his soul's calling.

In that moment, we made a decision.

We were ONLY going to buy HIS BRAND from this point on.

Because he is clearly the expert.

And he was able to convey all of the different benefits of so many mushrooms...

It is important to clarify that he wasn't talking about his brand or his products...

Not at all!  He only mentioned his company in passing.

Rather, he was just talking about the benefits of the different mushrooms. 

The scientific studies that reinforced the benefits...

He helped us have an epiphany...

These supplements are in alignment with our goal to support our long term health.

So what'd we do? 

We pulled into town and went straight to a local health food store and bought a bottle of his comprehensive supplement.

Because of his content!

Now, today... We are out looking for physical products (or vendors to partner with)

The goal?  So we can offer physical products to my wife's brand that reaches millions of people per year through her CONTENT.

Are you noticing a pattern here?

Even when growing a business that sells physical products, content is key.

And if you have a big niche site, lots of visitors and a big email list...

Often times physical products offer you a great way to reach segments of your audience who haven't bought your digital products yet.

And, on that note...

I'm lacing up my shopping shoes and am about go wander through acres upon acres of the worlds most impressive crystals, minerals and gemstones!
