So you don't get bored or burn out before you get into momentum.
If you're into lizards... A site about raising, breeding, caring for, training and celebrating lizards is the direction I'd recommend you go in.

Again... Your 'task' at this step is to COMMIT.
Once committed, you start to build...
And that begins with getting your domain name and your web hosting with WordPress installed.

When you create content that's designed to answer the EXACT question that you know your audience is searching for...
Google (or YouTube) will rank your content over everything that's less relevant.
Because Google's job is to return the most relevant post for every user's search.
So you need to find the relevant phrases they are searching for!
Simple stuff...

Ok, that's all the research needed before outlining and writing your post...

Once you've researched a dozen or two dozen keywords and written/published SEO-optimized posts, you'll get the hang of it...
It becomes fun!
And it'll take you WAY less time than it took you to publish your first few posts.
Keep it up and reach 100 posts and you'll be seeing heaps of impressions and traffic from the search engine.
It's like magic!
If you publish useful content your audience is searching for and structure it correctly (based on all the links above) Google and their searchers will find and visit your content.

The real 'shortcut' to success is pushing through the "I stink at this" phase and getting momentum on your side as fast as you can.
Momentum doesn't appear until you truly create a new habit and build the little skills and competencies of researching keywords and publishing SEO content.
