On your website you will be able display an opt-in form where users can enter their email in exchange for something of value from you. There are many options available to build an email list on, some better than others.
With an email autoresponder in place, you have a basic sales funnel which is ready to grow with you.
3. Social Media Marketing
Your website and mailing list are the core of your marketing platform. Social media is an excellent way to engage in a conversation with your target audience, and drive traffic back to your platform.
There are tons of social media marketing options. Don't try to create a presence in all of them... You'll be far better off choose one or two outlets which are fun for you, and over time create a strong presence there.
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Google+, Goodreads, Pinterest, and LinkedIn are some of the main social networks you have to choose from. Come up with a creative strategy which works for you to consistently offer value and connect with your audience over time.
Think of social media as a big conversation, more than a magazine you're going to advertise in, and you'll be in the right frame of mind. Join the conversation, share, connect, and engage your audience.
When you post new content on your website, link to it from your social media accounts. If your content is engaging, and you have an option for people to join your email list, you will see web traffic, and be able to watch your email list grow.
