How To Make Money Online With Three Simple Steps “Any darn fool can make something complex; it takes a genius to make something simple.” ― Pete Seeger In this post, you will learn my highly refined system and you will understand how to make money…
Have you been itching to take-off in your business as an online content creator?
Whether you’re doing YouTube videos, blog posts, or podcasts, I’m sure that you’ve dreamed of creating awesome online content.
At the end of the day, becoming an awesome online content creator is the answer… and at this point, I think we’ve all realized that.
When you create truly valuable content that helps other people (not meaningless crap that’s just regurgitated to take up space and attract web crawlers), you open the door to having better money coming in on a more consistent basis.
The key word here is valuable.
You have to show people that you’re truly here to come alongside them and help them. You want them to know that you care about helping them get from point A to point B on their journey, and your online content should be designed to help them solve their problems.
Your content should inspire them and give them the fuel they need to start achieving their goals.
You probably don’t need to be reminded that there are hundreds-of-millions of bloggers, YouTubers, and podcasters in the world. There are millions of videos and articles about almost any topic you can imagine!
But one thing that is actually quite rare is an online content creator who knows what they’re talking about!
My goal here is simple. I want to teach you what it takes to succeed in online content marketing.
I want to show you exactly what I did to get where I am now. I want to show you how to take it from a side-hustle to to a multi-million-dollar lifestyle business.
If you’re ready to level up your business and your life as an online content creator, then let’s get started and do this!
To become an online content creator, you need to create online content (podcasts, videos, articles, and/or photos) that will not only entertain people, but also help to inform and educate them.
In short, you want your content to help people and provide value. And the best way to start is to just get to it and begin creating.
To expand a bit more about this, here are 3 things you need to do to become an online content creator:
Once you answer these questions, you’ll find more clarity… and a plan will begin to emerge.
The next step is pretty simple… you need to decide how you are going to get your content in front of your audience. What content creator platforms are you going to use?
You’re going to want to create a plan in the form of a road-map, so that you can figure out what direction to get started in. Don’t worry… your plan may change a little bit as you learn and grow!
The only way to truly get started is to stop delaying and start creating… today!
To become successful as an online content creator, you need to know the fundamentals…
These are the basics… the must-do’s that fake marketing gurus never told you about because all they want is for you to buy their shiny new thing!
So what can you actually do to guarantee your success online?
It all rests on three words.
Learn… do… teach.
That’s it. These are the fundamental building-blocks that, when performed consistently over extended periods of time, lead to the cementing of yourself in your niche as an online content creator.
People generally use the internet for one of two things… entertainment or education.
Your ideal leads are going to consist of would-be customers who are looking for a trusted source to provide them with what they need.
If you can prove to them that you are that trusted source, and that you can teach them how to do what they want or need to do, then you will become their go-to person!
Of course, the best way to cultivate this is to start bringing real, relevant content to the table.
People actually need you to help them.
But the good news is that, if you can help them, you will gain their trust and their devotion.
We are literally talking about brand loyalty!
And as you continue to learn, do, and teach, you will also become better at what you do, and that will help you to earn even more trust and more followers… and this positive cycle will continue!
Your platform is the machine, and your effort is the fuel. All you need to do is get started!
You already know the fundamentals: Learn, do, and teach.
So now, the question becomes this…
How do you actually do these things and bring in the results you want?
In this post, I’m going to show you by walking you through this simple 3-step formula for crushing online content creation and winning at the long-term game!
It’s not rocket-science, people. It just takes hard work and consistency!
If you want to be great at something, what’s the most logical way to make it happen?
You have to learn and improve!
Forget about becoming a massive success right away. You will NEVER be successful overnight. First, you have to learn how it’s done.
It doesn’t matter if you want to play guitar or build a booming SEO business… the fundamentals are the same.
You have to learn how to be effective first. The more you practice, the better you will get.
You have to do it!
If you want to build a 6-figure business based on teaching people how to play the guitar, then you have to develop 6-figure guitar-playing skills!
You must MASTER your art. And then, later on, when you have achieved mastery, you must move on and teach what you have learned to other people.
Remember… learn, do, and teach!
You have to do the work first. You must learn the techniques, gain the knowledge, and figure out the pitfalls on your own.
This is how you learn.
This doesn’t mean that you can’t start right now! It just means that you must continue to learn and improve. You can start by learning the basics and teaching the basics.
And this takes us to the next step...
So, you’ve already done a lot of the brain work. You know what you want to do, you have a road map, and you know who your audience is.
Next, you just have to apply what you have learned.
In other words, you have to do. You have to practice what you’ve learned. And you have to do it every… single… day.
This is actually the hard part. Lame excuses aren’t going to fly, here. You can’t put it off. You can’t strategize your way out of it.
You just have to do it. Do the thing you love, and spend at least a little bit of time on it each and every day! .
At some point, you will get better at it. And once this starts to happen, you will improve. You’ll also get used to it, and creating amazing results will start to come second-nature to you.
This is what will set you apart from the dozens (or hundreds) of other creators who are trying to do the exact same thing as you. The more you repeat something, the better you will get at doing it.
In his book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell talks about how it takes about 10,000 hours to become ‘world-class’ at something.
Does this mean that you have to play guitar for 10,000 hours before you can actually create a content business based on that skill?
You can start teaching what you do know right away. And you should.
But this helps to put the entire picture into perspective. If you haven’t done your ‘thing’ for 10,000 hours yet, you are simply not world class at it. Therefore, you have to keep practicing.
And as you continue to practice, you will continue to get better. And as you get better, your lessons will become more advanced… and the cycle will continue!
And as this cycle continues, you become more valuable to your audience!
Sure, you can create and put out great online content that can be potentially helpful for some people, even after just a little bit of practice.
Your audience may even engage with you and try to buy your stuff!
But if they run into a speed bump and ask you for help, you’re not going to know exactly how to handle their problems if you haven’t already put in the time and effort to learn as much as possible.
It is all about being able to bring real value to your consumers!
There is nothing wrong with not being world-class. But if you want to succeed, you need to keep learning, and keep doing!
Alongside learning new concepts and skills, you should also be testing and using those skills. You need to put what you’ve learned into practice to gain practical experience.
This also all goes back to loving what you’re doing. When you choose your niche, it’s a good idea to choose something you have a passion for… because this will mostly likely result in you putting your whole heart and soul into what you’re doing.
And never forget… with time, regular practice, testing, and analysis, you will continue to learn, grow and become better.
Eventually, you will master your chosen skill… and that is when you will be able to start making the real money.
If you’ve reached this next step…
It means you’ve done a lot of learning already, improved upon it, and started the process of doing what you love with intentionality. You are now well on your way to succeeding as an online content creator.
But this is not the end of the road.
Now, you must continue in your journey by creating world-class content for your audience.
Once you get to this level, where you have learned A LOT about it and are able to properly teach it to others, you will have earned the right to call yourself a pro!
There is no special shortcut to gaining mastery over a skill. Your level of education matters very little, and you can only learn so much through studying alone.
At the end of the day, you will only truly be successful in selling your product to your audience if it is the tried-and-proven product of your blood, sweat, and tears.
It must be the culmination of your years of study and practice, and must contain your hard-fought experience, leveraged as a learning tool to help those who wish to travel along the same path.
Any teacher must learn and master the secrets of their niche before they’ll be ready to explode and go big.
But all of this starts with learning about your skill, doing it until you are proficient, and then teaching others what you know, .
It’s no different than what Russell Brunson did with his Dotcom Secrets book. He learned his ideas about direct response marketing from people like Dan Kennedy, John Caples, Eugene Schwartz, and others… but then, he implemented it, practiced it day after day, and tested everything.
He clocked in thousands, if not tens of thousands of practice experience hours by putting those ideas into action in multiple businesses before he started teaching it.
And then, he continued to implement them for years and years. And now, he’s teaching his proven version of tried-and-tested ideas.
And he absolutely knows what he’s doing, because he is a master at his craft.
Here’s a little secret I have to tell you...
You may have studied under the greats and learned a few things… but that doesn’t mean that you’re never going to fail. You WILL make mistakes. You will fail, screw up, and fall down sometimes. That is a guarantee.
But the goal here is not to let your failures define you. Failure should never stop you. Failures are lessons… nothing more. This is why you need to keep testing, making adjustments, adapting, and launching new techniques.
You’ll start to see what works and what doesn’t. You’ll be able to make adjustments and watch as your efforts create forward momentum.
Success (especially with online content creation) is a process of continuous adaptation. It is a process of continual adjustment. You just have to adjust, over and over again, until you really start to dial in the awesome results you’ve been looking for.
That is exactly what my wife and I did. That’s the path we took. We created two separate, profitable websites before I started teaching how to do this stuff online. Now, my teaching platform is the third profitable platform that we’ve created.
We didn’t just do it once.
Each time we did it, we learned and adapted. You may have to run through it two, three, four, five, or even more times before you find the ‘secret formula’ that works for you.
But the thing to understand is that that’s ok… because at the end of the day, there is no such thing as failure and no substitute for hard work.
This is how successful online content creators get so good at what they do, and this is why they make great money once they finally succeed.
It is all because of the thousands upon thousands of hours they’ve put into their craft.
Once you have taken the principles of learn, do, and teach to heart, and make sure that you do a little bit to further your goals every single day, you will have set upon a course to completely dominate your niche!
Now, just ask yourself this. Are you ready to be a teacher? Are you ready to be the guru that people need to help them learn, as you have learned?
There are people in the world who would love to know what you know. There are people who would love to master your chosen skill to the same degree that you have mastered it.
In the beginning, you may find it hard to believe that people would want to do what you can do… but trust me, there are people who want to learn what you have to teach!
You DO know something special.
There are things that you know, from your upbringing, experiences, and DNA that make you a completely unique person.
You have unique experiences that make you YOU, and when you tap into these experiences and couple them with hard, consistent work… you will discover the secret to becoming unstoppable!
It all starts with doing… every day. I cannot stress this enough. You must practice, every day.
Then, you must start the 3 Pillar Content Marketing Strategy and become the authority in your niche.
Learn, do, teach.
These are the fundamentals. These are the three steps that you need to take that will help you to achieve success as an online content creator.
If you can learn a skill, put out content about it, and repeat this process every day for years… then you will make it to the top.
If you ever feel like you’re going to run out of ideas, don’t despair! There are always new books to read and different techniques to try. Learning is all part of the process!
But the first step is to just get started, start feeling like a failure so you can achieve success.
You will never reach success unless you take action. The beginning is often the hardest part… but the fastest way to get past it is to just do it!
